Reel Talk: Cast and Connect

Men, join us at Ottawa Metro Park this summer on every second Saturday from May through August! 

Whether you fish often or have never tried it before, this location does not require a fishing license, so everyone is welcome! Bring your kids or invite someone you know to cast a line and enjoy the outdoors together!

What to Expect

The goal is simple: Create a space for God, good conversation, and connect with others.

​

• Before we get lines wet, we'll gather at 8:00 AM by the boating doc for a brief devotional.

• Bring your own gear and stay as long as you'd like.

• Fish your own way, whether casting from the bank or just enjoying some quiet time by the water.

• There is no agenda. This is a chance to unplug, spend time with the Lord, and connect with others.

Summer Schedule

8:00 AM (Second Saturday of Each Month) at Ottawa Metro Park.

Note: ​The Lima Reservoir is not apart of the Johnny Appleseed park and does require a fishing license if you wish to fish on it.

Only the ponds are free to fish without a license.

To wrap up the summer, we are planning a possible fishing charter trip for those who are interested.
