POLICIES

GUIDELINES AND EXPECTATIONS

As with all LBT Student Activities, we want our students to follow and adhere to these simple guidelines while attending any of our stops on our Summer Tour.

1. Respect Everyone.

A. Respect our LBT Student Leaders by:

  • Following Instructions when they are given and respond respectfully when  being corrected (understanding that correction is meant to help and guide you when it is needed)

B. Respect other students, because every student deserves to feel safe and included.

  • Keeping your hands to yourself

  • No roughhousing, No Physical Aggression

  • No Teasing or intimidation.

  • Choose words and actions that build others up, not tear them down.

2. Don't Be A Distraction.

  • What we do during games, worship, teaching and small groups matter.

  • Distractions don’t just affect you — they affect everyone in the room.

  • Be engaged and present.

  • Stand when we are singing - if you don’t want to sing, that is okay too but don’t distract from other students want to sing/participate in that way.

  • Avoid being on your phone, side conversations, interrupting, or drawing attention away from what is happening.

  • When someone is speaking, show respect by listening.

  • If you need something (restroom, help, etc.), ask appropriately and avoid that being disruptive to others.

3. Be Fully Present.

  • Be Fully Present

  • Students are expected to stay for the full time unless prior communication is given by a student/parent/guardian.

  • Bathroom breaks will be limited to one person at a time

4. Stewardship Our Space Well.

  • Food/Drink stays in the appropriate areas (not in any pool/pond)

  • Clean up after yourself. (Throw your trash away & clean up any mess).

  • Treat the space we use respect and leave it better than you found it.

5. Safety is Non-Negotiable.

  • Violence, fighting, threats, or physical aggression will result in immediate dismissal.

  • Safety for every student is a priority.

STUDENT SWIMWEAR GUIDELINES:

Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable, confident and ready to swim and/or play any water games. So, to keep the focus on the fun and ensure swimsuits can handle any high-energy water activity, we ask parents and students to follow these simple guidelines:

For the Girls:

We recommend one-piece swimsuits, tankinis, or modest two-piece styles.

  • The Goal: Choose suits that provide secure coverage

  • Movement Check: If you can dive, run, and play beach volleyball without having to "readjust" your suit, it’s a great choice!

  • Midriffs: While we don't require the stomach to be 100% covered, we ask for modest styles that stay in place during activity.

For the Guys:

We recommend standard swim trunks or board shorts.

  • The Goal: Please ensure shorts are worn at the waist (no sagging) and provide proper coverage.

  • Style: We ask that guys avoid "speedo-style" briefs or extremely short, tight swim trunks.

  • Why we have these guidelines:

We want our focus to be on building friendships and having a blast, not on worrying about wardrobe malfunctions or "policing" what people are wearing. By choosing modest, functional swimwear, you’re helping us keep the environment respectful and fun for everyone!

Activity Agreement:

By agreeing to terms, I acknowledge that participation in this activity could involve risks to the Participant (and to the Participants parents or guardians, if Participant is a minor), and may result in various types of injury including, but not limited to, the following: sickness, bodily injury, death, emotional injury, personal injury, property damage and financial damage.

In consideration for the opportunity to participate in the Activity, we the Participant and parent/guardian acknowledge and accept the risks of injury associated with participation in transportation to and from the Activity. We accept personal financial responsibility for any injury or other loss sustained during the Activity or during transportation to and from the Activity, as well as for any medical treatment rendered to the Participant that is authorized by the Sponsor or its agents, employees, volunteers, or any other representatives (collectively referred to hereinafter as the “Activity Sponsor”). Further, we release and promise to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lima Baptist Temple church for any injury arising directly or indirectly out of the described Activity or transportation to and from the Activity, whether such injury arises out of the negligence of the Activity Sponsor, the Participant, or otherwise.

If a dispute over this agreement or any claim for damages arises, we agree to resolve the matter through a mutually acceptable alternative dispute resolution process. If we and the Activity Sponsor cannot agree upon such a process, the dispute will be submitted to the three-member arbitration panel for resolution pursuant to the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

MEDIA POLICY:

Media images and recordings bring life to and help tell the story of Lima Baptist Temple, enhance the quality of the information we provide to our members and give visitors an idea of what to expect when they attend our church. We would like to share media items recorded at our various ministry activities, events and programs in church-produced materials, including, but not limited to, bulletins, posters, brochures, newsletters and other printed materials, on the church website and social media.

Accordingly, participation in church activities implies permission for publication of any media recorded, unless a signed “Media Images Opt-Out Form” is on file with the church office.
