LBT Students Missions Trip
PUERTO RICO

June 15–20, 2026

Puerto Rico is a place of both beauty and great need. In recent years, the island has been impacted by hurricanes, earthquakes, and the ongoing effects of COVID-19. Many communities are still recovering, with homes in need of repair and people in need of hope.

On this trip, we’ll partner with a local pastor and their church to serve in meaningful and practical ways—which may include work projects, community outreach, or sharing the love of Christ with those we meet. You’ll experience a new culture, make a real difference, and grow in your faith as you become the hands and feet of Jesus.

Spanish is the official language, but translators will be available to help you engage with those we serve. This trip feels like an overseas missions experience—but since Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, no passport is required for U.S. citizens, and travel is simpler and more accessible.

Final Payment: $799 due by March 31, 2026

We understand that the cost of the trip may feel overwhelming at first—but please don’t let the dollar amount be the reason you decide not to go. When you register, Pastor Aaron will personally work with you to help raise the necessary funds, starting with support letters to family and friends. This method has helped many students fully fund missions trips in previous years.

There may also be additional fundraising opportunities shared in the months ahead. While the amount of the trip is ultimately your responsibility...more than anything, we believe that if God is leading you to go, He will provide a way. Trusting Him through this process is part of the journey—and we’re confident that every student who truly desires to be part of this trip will have what they need to make it happen. (And we will work with each student & their parents/guardians to make it possible!)

More detailed information about the trip will be shared in the coming months, including travel plans, a packing list, team expectations, and possible upcoming fundraising opportunities. We want to make sure you and your student feel informed and prepared every step of the way. Please stay connected for updates as we move closer to the trip—communication will be sent out regularly to keep everyone in the loop.

If you have questions or are interested in going, please contact Pastor Aaron Blevins at ablevins@lbtlima.org.

We’re excited to see how God will use this trip to shape lives—both there and here at home.
