NEXT
NEXT is a 12 month focus that is anchored in the powerful truth that the Gospel continues to illuminate generations. We want to make sure we’re here to proclaim the Gospel well into the future in safe, functional, and distraction-free environments. Our goal is to raise $375,000 for NEXT. Prayerfully consider how you and your family can be a part of NEXT. Let’s prepare our hearts for Commitment Sunday on November 16th.

DEACON NOMINATIONS
Deacon nominations for 2027 will be accepted throughout October. Deacons must meet certain biblical qualifications and currently serve at the church. Please read the essential character qualities for deacons and their biblical basis before sending nominations. You can submit your nominations (and get more info) at the Connect Desk in the Welcome Center or below.

CHILD DEDICATION SUNDAY
Dedicating your child to God is a public commitment that you, make before God, your church, and your family. It is an opportunity to express your desire to lead and spiritually nurture your child. If you are interested in this special Sunday, please sign up on the Central Hub.
Participation is reserved for parents who are members at Lima Baptist Temple.

PASTOR APPRECIATION SUNDAY
October is the month dedicated to honoring and expressing our deep appreciation for our pastors! Their commitment is evident all year long, now we have the opportunity to show our gratitude. In the Welcome Center, you'll find gift bags for each pastor, waiting for you to add a note, card, or a special token of thanks. We will present these gifts to the pastors on the last Sunday of the month.

HOPE DURING GRIEF SEMINAR
Over the last few weeks our church family has experienced devastating grief that accompanied the death of Becky.
We are offering two “Hope During Grief” seminars led by Kari Taylor, a licensed professional clinical counselor, with Mission of Hope in Lima. Participants will also have the option to create a candle of hope in honor of Becky at the end of the seminar. This seminar is recommended for teens and adults. Please sign up below for one of the two available seminars.

Group Serve is a November initiative designed to connect our church with opportunities to serve local organizations throughout the Lima area. PRAYER GATHERING
If we could see what actually happens when we pray, we would never stop praying. The first Monday of every month is a time for our church to come together and unite in prayer. We worship in song and powerfully seek God's will through prayer. We pray for each other, our church, community, country, and more. It's our prayer to desire God above all else and seek His wisdom.
